EMEA Marketing Manager – Electrical & Electronics m/f
Location: home based with preferences in Belgium, Netherlands or Germany, UK
The Marketing Manager – Electrical & Electronics provides global leadership in strategic and tactical marketing (market penetration, segmentation, and commercialization and launch packages) and platform/product definition for PolyOne’s products and positioning in the Electrical and Electronics market segment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Innovation and Profitable Growth: Drives profitable growth in key market segments through Voice of the Customer and Phased Offering Launch processes. Conducts market research and analysis to track future marketplace trends, customer needs, and competitive data.
•Commercialization and marketing communication: Takes customer and market trends, feedback, and opportunities to create technology focus and set direction for PolyOne growth initiatives. Develops and drives marketing campaigns in support of new product launches
•Key Marketing Processes: Ensures creation, deployment and use of Phase Decision Process, situational analysis, sales and marketing planning.
•Strategic Planning: Supports development of the strategic plan, annual operating plan and marketing communications plan. Implements the strategic marketing direction and uses Porter’s Five Forces assessments with plans to address industry trends, competitive positions and specialization strategy.
•Market and Competitive Intelligence: Drives measurement and tracking of market trends and competitive activities including market size, market share, and competitive strengths and weaknesses.
•Market Segmentation and Value Proposition: Creates value proposition for the various segments / applications from the customer perspective and ensuring product and positioning / message consistency.
•Profitability Analysis and Margin Management: Monitors business results. Responsible for portfolio profitability and overall gross margins for growth component of market segments.
•Sales and Customer Support and Training: Develops effective sales tools and ensures commercial team receives continuous support in the form of up-to-date market application information, training, and problem solving. Supports the development of business unit and corporate marketing training programs.
Required Skills & Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in marketing, engineering or related field. MBA a plus.
•Minimum of 3-5 years of marketing experience with proven time/project management and priority management skills. Proven experience in Electrical & Electronics segment is mandatory.
•Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills
•Demonstrated influencing skills
•Advanced knowledge of the following software applications: Microsoft Office
•English fluent, additional European languages will be a plus
