High-end spectrophotometer for precise colour measurement

With the benchtop spectrophotometer ColorTube, ColorLite presents a high-end solution for applications where exact colour measurements are a precondition for maintaining the desired product quality.

In numerous industrial sectors, such as in automotive, in manufacturing processes of plastics, textiles, paints, coatings, food and in many other areas, colour measuring devices ensure that the manufactured products correspond exactly to the specifications in terms of colour. With the newly developed, high-quality spectrophotometer ColorTube, the colour experts from ColorLite present a reliable, highly accurate and modular solution for reflectance and transmission measurments of solid and liquid samples.

The latest ColorTube family is available in three versions: the standard version enables reflectance measurements of materials, the 90° vertical version was developed for measuring powders in reflection mode, and the full version is suitable for transmission measurements. The ColorTube offers the special feature of being able to measure in three different orientations.

An integrating sphere with a diameter of 140 mm and two spectrometers for the sample and reference channels form the core elements of the d/8° spectrophotometer. The wavelength measuring range is between 400 nm and 700 nm. An integrated gloss trap allows SPIN (gloss inclusion) and SPEX (gloss exclusion) measurements.

Long-term stable measurement results are guaranteed through the use of white and blue high-performance LED light sources that allow for a variably setting of the UV light components via three channels without the use of any filters.

In addition to measuring solid and liquid samples, the spectrophotometer is also suitable for capturing transparent samples and has an optional third measuring channel for this purpose. This flexibility allows measurements of a wide variety of samples, from opaque to translucent to transparent, with a single device.
