STORZ MEDICAL and 1zu1 use 3D printing to produce compact air distributors.
The MASTERPULS from STORZ MEDICAL is used in shock wave therapy to treat pain in the musculoskeletal system. During the ergonomic redesign of the handpiece 15 years ago, the medical technology company ventured very early into the design and series production of components using 3D printing. Together with high-tech pioneer 1zu1, more than 50,000 compact, flow-optimized air distributors made of two elements have been achieved over the years. The valuable experience and technological advantage of 1zu1 now enabled the evolution to the one-piece variant.
