PlastiVation Machinery GmbH, German affiliate of Tederic Machinery, will be exhibiting two electric injection molding machines from the second machine generation of the Tederic 'NEO series' in production operation at Fakuma 2024 (Hall B3, Stand 3215). “As part of automated production cells, the Tederic injection molding machines represent an energy-efficient and technically sophisticated production and investment solution,” says Thomas Strecker, Managing Director of PlastiVation Machinery GmbH. The company will also be informing plastics processors about high-performance service packages and digital solutions for increasing efficiency.
The focus is on the NEO-E160/e620 electric injection molding machine as part of a production cell with a Sepro robot. With a clamping force of 160 tons and a screw diameter of 42 mm, it produces a cup holder with three cups made of PC-ASA. The shot weight is around 150 grams, and the cycle time is 42 seconds. The weight of the cup holder is 74 grams, one cup weighs 23 grams. The NEO-E160 is equipped with a KEBA machine control and a 15-inch screen. Production is carried out using a 3+1 hot runner family mold from INCOE International Europe, equipped with a pneumatic 4-drop valve gate system and Heat-Inject the dynamic localized mold temperature control.
The NEO-E60/e110 electric injection molding machine uses a reusable mold that was produced using a 3D printing process. This produces a prototype part with a polypropylene commonly used in the injection molding process. The tool partner is SK Industriemodell GmbH, which uses its 'Print & Inject' process to produce 3D-printed tools that are used to manufacture extremely complex or intricate components and prototypes. The NEO-E60 is equipped with a KEBA machine controller and a 12-inch screen.
