Trade fair highlight 26. February 2026
Space-saving Solutions for Parts Buffering, Conveying and Separating
At the international plastics trade fair Fakuma in Friedrichshafen from 15 to 19 October 2024, MTF Technik presents numerous applications in conveyor technology, separation systems and automation.
With regard to this year's Fakuma focus theme of ‘Efficiency’, a very space-saving lift buffer station and a floor-level shifting buffer is on display. To demonstrate how they work, both devices are integrated into a sequence consisting of parts feeding by means of a vertical belt conveyor from a bunker, subsequent separation and finally distribution of the separated components to the two buffer systems. The lift station is also equipped with an integrated load cell for demonstrating to count components by means of a weight conversion system.
In addition, a compact carousel deposit station with a diameter of 1,200 mm for buffering 8 containers, each with a base area of 400 x 300 mm, will be in operation.
For the transfer of small parts, there is a small belt conveyor with a centre motor and knife edges on both sides.
The versatility and flexibility of the MTF Multi-Tech conveyor belts is illustrated by means of three special demonstration units, equipped with a variety of different belts, drive units and base frame variants and other equipment options.
A whole range of different separating devices is available for trials at the fair. Visitors are welcome to bring their own sample parts and sprues for testing on site.
To find out in advance about common tasks and solutions in conveyor technology, a visit of the MTF-Advisor website is recommended: https://www.mtf-technik.de/en/service/ratgeber. There is a recent posting on the various options for efficient distribution and buffering of material available.
