More Information
Manual clamping system – Maximum efficiency
One of the highlights at the Zimmer Group stand is the manual clamping system for injection molding machines. This system is characterized by significantly reduced setup times, which considerably reduce machine downtime. Particularly noteworthy is that the entire clamping process can be carried out by just one person, even with large molds. The low height of the changing device makes the system suitable for all machine types.
Plastic injection molding and elastomer production – expanded capacities
Zimmer Group has expanded its manufacturing capacities in the area of plastic injection molding and can now produce components up to a weight of 1.8 kg. This means that there are no limits to the manufacturing variety of workpieces, from small to large. The portfolio is complemented by elastomer production, which enables customized solutions for components, special seals and customer-specific adaptations up to a volume of 2 liters of material.
3D printing – geometric flexibility
3D printing opens up a wide range of applications for prototype construction, optimization of assemblies and small series production in various branches of industry. The advantages of this process lie clearly in the geometric flexibility and in the variety of materials – in addition to standard materials, metall powder -MIM materials are also possible. 3D printing makes it possible to create components in a short time without the need for expensive toolmaking.
MIM – precision and material flexibility
Metal injection molding is another focus of the trade show appearance. This technology enables the production of complex series parts made of metal that are molded similarly to plastic parts. It offers a high degree of material flexibility, from low-alloy steels to stainless steels and titanium materials to hard metals. MIM thus opens up new possibilities in the series production of metallic components with high quantity and quality.
