PTFE replacement by UHMW-PE / MIPLEON powder & LUBMER pellets
The Mitsui Chemicals LUBMER™ UHMW-PE granules and spherical powders HI-ZEX MILLION™ and MIPELON™ offer a range of properties that come close to those of fluoropolymers. They can therefore replace fluoropolymers such as PTFE, which will no longer be produced in Europe in the future, in many applications.
High abrasion and wear resistance, excellent sliding properties are the most important properties of the UHMW-PE materials from Mitsui Chemicals, in addition to good chemical resistance, low density, very low water absorption and high flexibility and impact strength at low temperatures.
The LUBMER™ granules include the highly abrasion-resistant types L3000, L4000 and L5000, which differ in MFR. We have special grades like L5220 as a self-lubricating grade with a low oil content and TM-80B as a weather-resistant grade for glass running channels (GRC).
