(De-)palletising of packages and KLT containers, including AMR integration

Automated (de-)palletising in modern production and intralogistics environments places high demands on flexibility, precision and system integration. Different package formats, changing pallet layouts and varying product qualities require high-performance robotics, intelligent software and reliable AI-supported image recognition. At the same time, the solution must enable seamless integration into existing processes and networking with autonomous mobile robots, without compromising on efficiency or process reliability. The challenge lies in combining all these components into a robust, scalable and practical overall system that functions reliably even under real production conditions.

The combination of high-performance robotics, intelligent software and AI-supported sensor technology results in a self-contained palletising cell that successfully overcomes all these challenges. The use of the KR IONTEC industrial robot ensures the necessary precision, speed and reliability, whilst the Flex Pack Editor enables the rapid and flexible creation of a wide variety of palletising patterns. Complemented by an AI-based camera system, high-precision (de-)palletising can be guaranteed even with varying packages. The robust vacuum gripper technology, combined with the seamless integration of AMR systems such as SSI Schäfer’s Weasel, rounds off the solution to form a fully interoperable and tried-and-tested overall concept.
