Nowadays, plastic components fulfil far more than just structural functions. They protect electronics, enable transparent design solutions and, at the same time, must offer long-term resistance to moisture, temperature fluctuations and mechanical stresses. The choice of the appropriate adhesive or sealant is a key factor in determining the functionality, service life and reliability of the end product.
With NOVASIL® S 802, we present a tried-and-tested solution for the flexible bonding and sealing of acrylic glass (Plexiglas®) and polycarbonate (Makrolon®, Lexan®). This neutral-curing silicone enables permanent bonds without causing stress cracks in the sensitive plastic substrates. At the same time, it offers excellent resistance to weathering, ageing and UV radiation.
