Measure physical process states directly
Moldsonics develops ultrasonic measurement systems for plastics processing that detect physical process states directly in the mould and at the plasticising unit. This makes process information accessible that cannot be derived from fixed time values or conventional machine signals alone.
At FAKUMA 2026, Moldsonics will present three industrial applications: condition-based determination of cooling and demoulding points, continuous monitoring of screw and barrel wear, and the detection of material states during solidification and crosslinking.
The sensor technology operates without direct contact with the processed material and can be integrated into existing production and control environments. This provides additional information for process optimisation, maintenance and machine integration.
