Live Mould Protection in Miniature
Avalon Vision Solutions will demonstrate intelligent mould protection live at FAKUMA using a purpose-built miniature machine modelled on an injection moulding machine.
The compact demonstration system allows visitors to watch MoldWatcher™ and ThermalWatch™ operate throughout a simulated production cycle. MoldWatcher uses non-contact machine vision to verify part presence, correct positioning and complete removal before allowing the mould to close. When an abnormal condition is detected, the system stops the cycle before damaging force can be applied.
ThermalWatch adds real-time infrared inspection, measuring surface temperatures and identifying thermal variations that cannot be detected by the human eye. These variations can provide an early indication of process instability, incomplete ejection or developing quality problems.
The miniature machine turns an industrial inspection process into a clear, interactive demonstration. Visitors can see exactly how visual and thermal inspection data are converted into immediate action to protect valuable moulds, reduce scrap and prevent unplanned downtime.
