Recent amendments to EU Regulation No. 10/2011 introduce new expectations regarding the purity of substances used in plastic food contact materials. Beyond compliance with positive lists and migration limits, manufacturers must now consider impurities, reaction by-products, degradation products and other non intentionally added substances (NIAS).

This presentation will explore the practical implications of these requirements across the plastics value chain, from raw material suppliers to converters and packaging manufacturers. It will highlight key compliance challenges, data expectations and best practices for demonstrating conformity in an increasingly demanding regulatory environment.
