As recycled content targets and PPWR requirements accelerate the transition to more sustainable packaging, manufacturers must demonstrate that recycled plastics are safe, compliant, and fit for their intended use. This presentation explores analytical approaches for the characterization and risk assessment of recycled plastics used in food contact and cosmetic packaging, including contaminant screening, NIAS identification, migration studies, decontamination efficiency evaluation, and material verification. Attendees will gain insight into how analytical data supports compliance with regulations such as EU 2022/1616 and PPWR, while ensuring product safety and quality.
