"Zero wear" a new class of high-performance polymers that combine dimensional stability and performance like thermosets while being recyclable like thermoplastics. ATSP aromatic copolyester a composite which allows weight reduction in high temperature conditions closer to the engine.
These resins are tailored for use in tribological, adhesive as well as structural and electronic application.
The unique capability of this product is its self-bonding function, results in "zero wear" as the wear particles can be reintegrated into the compound.
There are three different types of ATSP NOWE™, Self-Bond™ and Estherm™
NOWE is specifically manufactured for use as a filler in PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). When used in PTFE, the composite has excellent temperature and wear resistance.
NOWE™ coatings are applicable as electrostatic powder coatings as well as solvent-based systems.
Self-Bond™ offers on-demand bonding performance above 380 °C, with rapid methods enabling application in challenging environments.
