Innovative micro injection molding

This year, the partner companies Groche Technik and inmex are exhibiting together at the Fakuma trade fair in Friedrichshafen (A4-4008). The current focus is on the topic of micro injection molding. The two manufacturers of plasticizing technology have identified a noticeable trend towards larger moulds with significantly lower injection volumes, which is forcing their customers to manufacture on oversized machines. For this purpose, the family-run company Groche Technik has developed a new micro injection molding plasticizing unit ("GTM") that can be retrofitted to existing machines. A reduced-volume screw is equipped with a special non-return valve that no longer works in the barrel but in an injection chamber. This innovation allows much smaller volumes to be injected. Two exhibits of this system will be presented for the first time at the Fakuma trade fair, including in conjunction with the energy-saving inmex barrel heating, which enables high percentage savings, especially with low material throughputs. This heating system is also used in the nozzle area to improve temperature control and reduce damage caused by overmoulding. In addition to nozzle tips and nozzle adapters, inmex now also offers internally heated mixing, filter and needle valve nozzles, which will also be exhibited at Fakuma.
