For Franplast, sustainability is a factor that characterises its products. In 2016, the company began launching the Chemiton Life brand on the market. These compounds are mainly based on recycled raw materials and/or from renewable sources, which are a good alternative to materials made from fossil raw materials. Sustainability is therefore also reflected in the products, which are either bio-based with a share of 20 to 60 % or can have a share of recycled raw materials of 20 to 80 % from the plastic recycling chain.
The end result is a significant reduction in environmental impact and fulfilment of the requirements of a wide range of different markets. Chemiton Life from Franplast can therefore be used in a wide range of applications, from industrial to fashion, home and design, and there are even formulations approved for food contact. This proves that Chemiton Life is versatile and suitable for various applications.
Last but not least, Franplast's R & D team has developed a new series of compounds in recent months: Chemiton TJB, which represents a major step forward in thermoplastic innovation. This product family, available from Shore 00 40, has been developed to fulfil the most demanding and specific customer requirements, ranging from special applications with skin contact to food applications. With a combination of ultra-softness and translucent and matt surfaces, the Chemiton TJB series is characterised by its exceptional flowability and easy colouring with polyolefin masterbatches.
