New Compact MULTI-CONTROL Controller for Buffer Systems
MTF Technik, a specialist in conveyor technology, separating systems, and automation solutions, is expanding its control systems portfolio with the new MULTI-CONTROL compact controller for use in buffering and distribution systems.
The modern MULTI-CONTROL was specifically developed for a wide range of industrial applications. It can be used with e.g. carousel storage stations, Multi-Rounder rotary distribution systems, transfer buffers, distribution rockers, Multi-Linea circulation buffers, and linear buffer conveyor belts. An intuitive touchscreen enables particularly easy operation and supports multiple languages.
Two operating modes are available: count mode and time mode. In count mode, the system is controlled based on a defined target quantity, combined with the production quantity per cycle and a potential-free trigger signal. Once the preset quantity has been reached, a container change is automatically initiated. In time mode, the container change takes place after a freely configurable period of time.
In addition to controlling the buffer system, the MULTI-CONTROL can also control infeed conveyors and other peripheral equipment. Run, pause, and overrun times can be individually configured and flexibly adapted to the respective process.
The operating status is displayed directly on the touchscreen using color-coded indicators. An external three-color signal light can also be connected as an option, for example, to provide advance warnings regarding container availability and further increase process reliability. An integrated pushbutton with emergency-stop function provides additional safety.
With the MULTI-CONTROL, MTF Technik offers a cost-effective alternative to complex PLC-based control systems, focusing on ease of operation, fast commissioning, and an attractive price-performance ratio.
