WIS Kunststoffe GmbH Receives FDA Approval for rPP in Food Applications
WIS Kunststoffe GmbH has received an official letter (Prenotification Consultation, PNC No. 3282) from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) confirming the suitability of the company’s proprietary recycling process. This confirms that the recycled polypropylene (rPP) produced is suitable for contact with food.
The FDA confirms that WIS’s rPP may be used as PCR material for the manufacture of articles that come into contact with all types of food under conditions E through G, as defined by FDA regulations.
WIS Kunststoffe thus meets the highest international standards for the use of rPP in food applications and strengthens its position as an innovative provider of sustainable plastic solutions.
