Rice Bran Wax Modified as substitute to Montan Waxes
BIO-R® is a new generation of modified rice bran waxes developed as a bio-based alternative to conventional Montan waxes for plastics and polymer applications.
Based on renewable rice bran feedstock, BIO-R® waxes are chemically modified to provide controlled polarity, excellent thermal stability, efficient lubrication and improved processing performance in engineering polymers.
The range includes oxidized, esterified, saponified and micronized grades designed for applications such as PA, TPE/TPU, PBT, PET, PVC, masterbatches, compounds and other high-performance polymer systems.
BIO-R® can support improved flow, mold release, dispersion of pigments and fillers, surface quality and processing efficiency, while reducing dependence on fossil- and mineral-based wax technologies.
With different grades available to match traditional Montan wax functionalities, BIO-R® offers formulators a technically reliable and more sustainable solution for demanding polymer applications.
