Maximum degassing capacity thanks to a modular process design – ENTEX showcases scalable solutions

Efficient degassing is a critical factor in many extrusion processes, directly influencing product quality, process stability, and economic efficiency. ENTEX planetary roller extruder technology provides ideal conditions for achieving these goals. Thanks to the versatile configuration options of the modular extrusion platform, degassing zones can be integrated precisely at the most effective locations within the process.
The large internal heat-transfer surfaces combined with continuous thin-film processing ensure highly efficient removal of gases, odors, condensates, and volatile degradation products or residual substances. When combined with high-performance vacuum systems, residual levels of volatile components below 100 ppm can be achieved at vacuum levels below 1 mbar. The result is bubble-free products, consistent product quality, and stable processing conditions – a significant advantage for plastics, chemical, food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic applications.

ENTEX will demonstrate the practical implementation of these process-engineering capabilities at FAKUMA with an ENTEX 30 laboratory planetary roller extruder. The exhibit will be presented in various equipment configurations, showcasing the flexibility of the modular ENTEX extrusion platform. The laboratory extruder is based on the same design and processing principles as larger machine series – from precise temperature control to the modular arrangement of process sections and degassing zones. This enables processes developed at laboratory scale to be transferred directly to other machine sizes and adapted to a wide range of product and process requirements.
