puroclear®-coated lenses: Innovative PU technology for complex geometries
Using our high-quality PU coating, puroclear®, we are working with our project partners to demonstrate the potential of modern in-mold coating technologies, such as for high-end automotive applications.
The current demonstration part combines a 2K PC headlight lens with a 0.5 mm-thick puroclear® coating applied directly in the mold. The specially developed mold and process design enables the production of a highly complex component geometry with a draft angle of just 3°—an impressive demonstration of the processability and performance of self-releasing puroclear®.
