In Mould Assembly and Overmolding Technology has been developed by Matrix in order to assemble multi component parts.
IMA+O Technology needs injection machine with 3 injection units
Rotating two indexing plates managed by servo drives, the two just moulded parts are placed in position to be assembly.
When mould closes the two components are perfectly assembled and ready to be over molded by a third injection.
The two components and the third over molded part are injected at the same time in order to save time and handling operations.
