Cobiax has developed a complex system in which plastic hollow bodies are built into the concrete ceilings. The company found the right material for this with the plastics engineers from DK Kunststoff Service in Bielefeld and optimized it specifically for the requirements of the construction industry. A highlight: the plastic for the production of the stable half-shells to be assembled on the construction sites is obtained from recycled shampoo bottles, foils and artificial turf. The technology as a whole is therefore sustainable in several ways: It saves concrete and uses high-quality regranulates. In addition, a special recycling process guarantees products of consistently high quality.
