ClickPlastics AG: Newly developed bio-compounds as an ABS replacement
At Fakuma 2024, ClickPlastics AG will present bio-compounds which can replace ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) in various applications. Bio-compounds offer significant sustainability advantages against ABS.
Manufactured from the raw materials polyester (PBAT) and polylactic acid (PLA), ClickPlastics' own products have comparable mechanical properties to ABS and impress with a bio content of 75 ± 0.5% and complete biodegradability. Although the materials are slightly less heat-resistant due to the organic content, organic compounds can be processed using common extrusion and injection molding processes.
This eco-friendly material can revolutionize areas such as toys, household and medical devices and 3D printing.
